Responsible gambling: the Kyngs tools, the warning signs and where to turn
What Kyngs provides to keep play under control (limits, 24-hour break, time-out, self-exclusion), the warning signs, and where to find help in Ireland.

The tools Kyngs offers
Our ‘Responsible Gaming’ page describes measures available on request from support, by chat or email.

| Tool | What it does | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Gambling limits | Limit deposits or activity on the account | Request to support; in-account tools where offered |
| Break (time-out) | Temporary block for a chosen period; account suspended at once | Request to support |
| 24-hour cooling-off | A one-day pause | Request to support |
| Block on request (Responsible Gaming page) | Account closed, remaining balance refunded, no more promotional offers | Request to support |
| Ordinary account closure | Under rule 3.8, only with no balance and no pending withdrawal; otherwise funds are voided and the last deposit refunded | Request to support |
| Self-exclusion | Exclusion from all services for a set or indefinite period; early lifting only after internal review and a minimum 24-hour delay | Email to support stating the duration |
Limit amounts are set with support or from the account area. An ordinary closure can be followed by reopening on request, under the rules; for self-exclusion, a request to lift it early goes through an internal review and, if accepted, takes effect only after a minimum 24-hour cool-off. Creating a new account during self-exclusion breaches the rules and can lead to a permanent ban.
The signs to watch for
Common markers: playing longer than planned, play interfering with work or social life, failing to stop, hiding or minimising play, believing a big win will solve problems, borrowing to play or to repay gambling debts. One of these signs deserves a break; several deserve outside help.
Our principles
- Play for entertainment, never for income; losing is always possible.
- Know the game and the odds before you stake.
- Set a budget and keep to it; never play money you need.
- Do not chase losses.
- Set a time limit and take breaks.
- Keep other pastimes.
Protecting minors
The site is restricted to adults; where the law sets a higher age than 18, that age applies. Kyngs checks the date of birth at registration and carries out document checks. We advise parents to log out after each session, not to save login details, to keep cards and passwords out of reach, and to use filtering software.
Help in Ireland
In Ireland, the HSE and Gamblers Anonymous Ireland offer confidential help. Kyngs also points to international resources: Gambling Therapy, Gamblers Anonymous and GamCare, along with the blocking software Betfilter and Gamblock. These organisations are independent of Kyngs.
If you play at Kyngs and feel control slipping, ask support for the 24-hour break first, then talk to someone.
Frequently asked questions
How do I self-exclude from Kyngs?
Email Kyngs support with the duration you want, or ask for an indefinite exclusion. It does not end early on its own; a request to lift it early goes through internal review and, if granted, a minimum 24-hour delay.
Does Kyngs offer deposit limits?
Yes. Our ‘Responsible Gaming’ page provides for gambling limits and self-imposed player limits, activated through support or in the account. Amounts are set with you.
Where can I get help in Ireland?
Through the HSE’s services and Gamblers Anonymous Ireland, both confidential.
